Online gamers, bow before the king. According to developer Blizzard, the recently released World of

I'll say this for Rockstar - they do like a controversy. Usually, though, they go in for cool
controversies like sexy mini games or the sensationalised depiction of car crime and bullying.Lame
kerfuffles about copy protection schemes just seem a bit off-message, somehow. C'mon chaps, you'll
not get many tabloid headlines with this nonsense!

Are we getting a bit sick of 3D graphics? When 3D was first invented, back in the early cretaceous
period, the first-person shooter, the flight sim and the RPG all got better. But platform games got
worse...

ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG. Nipper, a Counterstrike map-hacker, has devised an incredibly detailed reproduction
of the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World. Nipper's packed a jaw-dropping amount of detail into
the map, even down to various behind-the-scenes sections. Link to the map download in the article.

Valve seems dedicated to the cause of multiplayer gaming on the PC. Sure, you can get Left 4 Dead on
the 360, and I'm sure many people will enjoy it, but the best way to play this game is with a mouse
and a keyboard, headphones on, screaming at your team mates that you're surrounded and need back up.

Once I realized Apple's new MacBook Pros were available with a 2.8GHz processor upgrade option, I
couldn't resist, so I mortgaged my house and bought one. This, despite vocal reservations about the
NVIDIA 9600M GT video processor.

PETA has released a rather well-done downloadable videogame parody of the Cooking Mama series
usually found on Nintendo game consoles. The game includes such activities as plucking feathers and
removing the internal organs from a dead turkey.

Not much of a surprise this is a possibility, the two games do use the same game after all. But Left
4 Dead hasn't even launched and someone's already modding it (probably the demo, anyway.) Here's
nine minutes — reloading! — of Left 4 Dead gunplay on TF2's Dustbowl map (slightly customized).
Warning: loud volume.

Does Call of Duty: World at War prove the critics wrong and show that Treyarch can do just as great
a job with the franchise as Infinity Ward, or is it just another World War II game that does nothing
to make its mark? Read on for the official review ...

Kotaku reader Srider spied something interesting during his playthrough of the Left 4 Dead demo,
amusingly enough on the back of an in-game box of "Chocobites" cereal. Seen in the first apartment
in the game's first campaign, and wherever cereal is eaten in Left 4 Dead, the back of the box says
collect all 10 TF2 action figures.
