This holiday, even awesome games are falling by the wayside. Here are a few we predict will fall by
yours Tough choices will have to be made, whether they’re with money or time, and some of the
hottest holiday releases will inevitably be ignored until either a price drop or a lull in activity
make it possible to pay attention to them.

If for some reason you've been missing out on a reason not to use your browser's pop-up blocker,
here's a new one: Window Pong. The age old game of Pong comes to your browser using separate pop-up
windows. You play against a computer that volleys back yet another window that acts as the

Today many video games create only an illusion of intelligence, using a few programming tricks. But
in the not-so-distant future, game bots will routinely use sophisticated AI techniques to shape
their behavior. The need for better AI in commercial video games is readily apparent—especially to
the people playing them.

Does “Rock Band” mastermind Alex Rigopulos see a cascade of colored lights in his sleep? Does
“Gears of War” creator Cliff Bleszinski hear snoring that makes him dream he’s wielding a
Lancer chainsaw? Does “Burnout” architect Alex Ward dream that his car has flipped?

Here at Complex, we love video games as much as the next dude. We bet money on ‘em, play together
on Xbox Live, talk shit over ‘em. But that’s really the extent of our fandom. After the console

become blurred, shit can get hairier than Rosie’s upper

After months of anticipation and speculation, revised Xbox 360 consoles built around the new Jasper

So we read Chomsky's Propaganda Model earlier in the semester for insight into limiting forces on
journalistic verification and transparency in mainstream news media. Before you discount this post
as mental masturbation or the ramblings of another upper-middle class anaracho-syndicalist (which
I'm not), I'd like to state clearly that I'm not going

Admit it. You've got an old GameCube from yesteryear laying around, and the slow economy (and fear
for your life) is holding you back from running to your nearest brick-and-mortar to pick up a
Classic Controller for your Wii. You know you want to play Super Mario 64 to work off that turkey,
but you can't justify laying out the cash.
